A Bit About Me

Dr Jyn is a nurturing and caring practitioner who has the passion for healing through a holistic approach. She has run a busy Chinese Medicine clinic since 2018. She now serves the Bayside community in Sandringham, Melbourne.

Dr Jyn has over 11 years experience working as a Registered Nurse with patients in critical, acute and subacute settings. While working in the medical settings, she observed that people were already unwell (physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually) before it transpires to a formal medical diagnosis. Dr Jyn desires to assist people with identifying the cries of the body to allow them to heal energetically before it becomes serious. Her experience and knowledge in both Western and Chinese Medicine gives her a good insight to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual conditions.

As Dr Jyn is passionate about anything to do with healing the soul, mind and body. She is also a yoga teacher and a breath work facilitator. Before committing to these trainings, she had experienced these practices and saw how it had affected her body, mind and spirit in a positive way. As Dr Jyn practices what she preaches, she likes to encourage her patients to commit to physical exercises, breathing (pranayama), and meditation as she understands the connection of these to one's health goal.

To pursue a higher standard of clinical skills, Dr Jyn has had further training in paediatric acupuncture, Five Element acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, fertility and women's health and Chinese remedial massage (Tui Na).

She believes that all these trainings have further equipped her to become better practitioner. When she grows as a practitioner, her clients/ patients will also benefit from it.

Dr Jyn cares deeply about one's health. She believes that when one is healthy, he/she will be happy and be able to live their lives to their fullest potential. She knows that her purpose is to be helping the people.

A Bit About Angel

Angel is the guardian of the clinic. She is a bichon poodle AKA poochon. She is also hypoallergenic.

Occasionally, Angel will greet the clients as they arrive at the clinic. As she gets older, (she is turning 10 this year!), she spends a lot of time sleeping in her bed next to the window. On most days, clients don't even notice her existence in the clinic. Her calm and friendly nature makes the clients forget that she is in the clinic during their treatments.

She enjoys playing with her ball and getting a friendly pat from clients. However, she is not a dog-person (dog-dog), she only enjoys the company of people. Please give her a pat when you are at the clinic next time.
